Disneyland Food & Wine Festival Food Guide
I’ve been to the Disneyland Food and Wine Festival every year it’s been offered the past few years! And just as a side note, the festival is actually in Disney’s California Adventure Park – Disneyland is just easier to type!
This year I took my sister along with me and we had a blast trying everything on the Disneyland food festival menus! Having both of us trying things out will hopefully mean these reviews are sound and well-rounded, not just my picky no-onion eating opinions!
Along with the menu for this year, I’ve also included a photo of the food and our reviews from this year. There were a couple of items that were returning from previous festivals so unless they were substantially changed, I just included my photo and review from previous years.
I’ve broken this guide out by festival marketplace booth and other food locations so it’s easier to find everything you’re looking for!
Let’s get onto all the Disneyland food at the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine festival!
Note!
If you want basic information about this year’s food and wine festival including dates, hours, entertainment options (like jammin’ chefs, culinary demostrations), and more – make sure to read my 2024 Disneyland Food and Wine Festival guide. This post is dedicated specifically to the menus and food reviews!
Food & Wine Festival Marketplace Kiosks
There are 10 marketplace food booths at this year’s festival! Each marketplace has a specific theme to the booth’s eats! You can find the full menus for each of these on the Disneyland app or website.
I was sad to see them drop some of my previous favorites like I Heart Artichokes and Berry Patch!
- California Craft Brews
- Cluck A Doodle Moo
- D-Lish
- Earth Eats
- Garlic Kissed
- Golden Dreams
- LA Style
- Nuts About Cheese
- Peppers Cali-ente
- Uncork California
In addition to the actual marketplace booths, there are a number of festival specific food items at other restaurants in California Adventure (you get tasting size portions), and I’ve included those at the bottom of this post.
Disneyland Sip and Savor Pass
One of the key things to note is that Disney brought back the Sip and Savor Pass this year, which is a way to get discounted food items if used correctly.
There are actually TWO different Sip and Savor Pass options this year, which is new for 2024!
- The first is the same as previous years that gets you eight food items and non-alcoholic beverages. This one is $56 for Magic Key Holders and $61 for non-Magic Key Holders.
- The second is a smaller pass that gets you four food items or alcoholic beverages. This one is $31 for Magic Key Holders and non-Magic Key Holders.
Both come with a lanyard and new this year – a digital code to scan when you use it to purchase items. This is SO much better than the little tabs you had to keep track of.
Best Items to Use Your Sip & Savor Pass
The break even point for items for the larger pass is $7.00 for Magic Key passes and $7.64 for non Magic Key Holder passes (and $7.75 for the four item pass), which means that you want to use your pass for food items that are more than that to break even on the pass – otherwise, just buy the items individually.
The best items to use your Sip and Savor pass on value wise from the marketplaces are:
- Cheeseburger Bao at California Craft Brews ($8.50)
- BBQ Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese at Nuts About Cheese ($9.00)
- Grilled Top Sirloin at Garlic Kissed ($9.00)
- Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese at D*Lish ($9.00)
- Carnitas Style Pork Belly from LA Style ($9.00)
- Chile Relleno Empanada from Peppers Cali-ente ($8.50)
- Shrimp Papas Locas at Peppers Cali-ente ($8.75)
- Cheese Pizza Flavored Wings at Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo ($8.50)
- BBQ Beef Brisket Slider at Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo ($9.00)
- Impossible Chicken Parm Bites at Earth Eats ($8.50)
- Impossible Beef Stroganoff at Earth Eats ($9.00)
Tip!
Stick with savory for the sip and savor pass. Desserts and non-alcoholic beverages are not a good use of the pass while in general the savory and heartier dishes are. I try to save mine for items that are at least $8.50 or more to get the best bang for my buck and typically sweet treats are on the cheaper side! Paying $9.00 for small plates of food is pricey but getting it for $7 or a little more feels a little more doable!
2024 Disneyland Food and Wine Festival Menus
We just got back from the festival and let me tell you – most of everything on the menus was delicious! Some obvious standouts and some that we wouldn’t get again but in general, things were yummy!
I’ve included our agreed upon rating (out of 10) as well as a photo and our review for each of the food and non-alcoholic drink items below.
One thing to note – taste buds are subjective. We may have loved something that other people on the internet didn’t, and we definitely didn’t like some of the things I’ve seen people raving about. It happens – we’re all different and can only give you our personal opinions on things. If you don’t agree, that’s okay.
Now let’s get to the food – I’ve broken it out by food booths. Also, I did not include wine in this list because I don’t personally drink wine, but rest assured there is plenty of wine and other alcoholic beverages available at various locations!
D-Lish
First up is D-Lish, which is one of the first booths you’ll find, tucked away right before Avengers Campus.
- Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese with peppered bacon
- Olive Oil Cake glazed with lemon curd and topped with vanilla bean chantilly. (NEW)
- Huckleberry Citrus Cooler – gold peak black tea, huckleberry and agave syrups, grapefruit soda, and lemon and orange garnishes. (NEW)
The carbonara was good but exactly what you would expect from a bacon mac and cheese. It was at the festival a few years ago as well and one of my favorites but compared to some of the other innovative dishes this year, it didn’t make our top 10. It is good though and a safe favorite if you want something for the kids! 7/10
The olive oil cake was something we were really looking forward to and were disappointed by. It was more sweet than I was expecting from an olive oil flavored dessert, and it was dense, more like a pound cake, than a cake. We gave it a 4/10. There are much better desserts to spend your money on.
The huckleberry cooler was refreshing and flavorful! We liked it but just know that there is grapefruit juice in it, so if you’re not a fan, you may not like this. Otherwise, we thought it was tasty. 7/10
Nuts About Cheese
I’m always excited to see what they come up with at the Nuts about Cheese booth because I’m a cheese lover. This year didn’t disappoint.
- BBQ Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese – big bad BBQ pork mac and cheese with crispy dill pickle onions (NEW)
- SNICKERS Caramel-Peanut Milk Chocolate Mickey Macaron: Chocolate Mickey macaron filled with caramel ganache and SNICKERS pieces
The pulled pork mac and cheese was good! The sweet pulled pork complemented the creamy mac and cheese well. It reminded me of one of my favorite Disney World snacks at Animal Kingdom! 7/10
Last but not least is the Snickers Mickey Macaron. I always want to be amazed with this, and it was good, but we weren’t blown away.
It’s possible because we were comparing it to the Raspberry Rose Mickey Macaron (on my list of best Disneyland food), which is mind-blowingly good. But it’s good if you like Snickers and still not to be skipped. 8/10
Uncork California
In the past Uncork has always featured a dessert of some kind and a fruit and cheese plate. I personally really enjoyed the simple cheese plate but can see why it may not have been that popular to bring back! This year it’s just a dessert, thankfully a really good one!
- Raspberry Almond Cake – almond cake with raspberry mousse and fresh raspberries (NEW)
The raspberry almond cake was one of our favorites of the festival this year. It was the right amount of sweet, a good moist texture, and the fresh raspberry mousse and raspberries on top were the perfect complement to the cake! 9/10
Golden Dreams
In year’s past, Golden Dreams has had a very unique set of menu items. This year it was just one – still a unique one but just one.
- Frozen Old-Fashioned – non-alcoholic bourbon flavored ice cream, bitters crema, orange zest glave, and cherry spheres on top (NEW)
The frozen old-fashioned was one of the most unique things we tried at the festival this year and the one item we were the most split on our opinions. My sister didn’t like it at all, but I thought it was pleasantly refreshing, creamy, and flavorful. She’d give it a 3/10 and I’d give it a 6/10 – worth a shot if you like those flavors!
California Craft Brews (just past Buena Vista Street toward Cars Land)
The craft brews menu features quite a few brews of course, but they did have one two food items this year including my favorite dessert of the entire festival!
- Cheeseburger Bao – with thousand island dressing, grilled onions, pickles, and tomato relish (NEW)
- S’mores Caramel Tart – graham cracker tart shell filled with caramel and chocolate ganache, topped with a toasted marshmallow. (NEW)
The cheeseburger bao was tasty but wasn’t amazing. The filling was well seasoned, the steamed bun was well cooked – but the toppings were a bit overpowering. It’s an okay use of your money but there are things we liked more. And it definitely wasn’t as good as the Animal Kingdom ones in Pandora. 6/10
The s’mores caramel tart was easily our favorite dessert of the entire festival. The combination of the graham cracker, caramel, chocolate, and marshmallow was fantastic. The only slight change we would make would be to have a little less chocolate ganache and do a marshmallow layer, rather than a toasted marshmallow because the marshmallow kept trying to jump off. 10/10
This one was so good, you get two pictures because you have to see the inside!
Peppers Cali-ente
This year’s menu includes some great Mexican flavors and specialties including one of our top dishes of the entire festival!
- Chile Relleno Empanada with arbol pepper salsa and Oaxaca and Cotija cheese
- Shrimp Papas Locos with cheddar bacon potatoes with jalapeno cheese sauce and chipotle shrimp.
The empanada was easily one of our favorite food items of festival! The outside was well cooked, the inside was flavorful, and it had a nice little kick without being too much! Plus, that sauce on the outside finished it off great! 9/10
We really wanted to like the shrimp. The flavor was good, but it just wasn’t prepared well. The tater tots were mushy and it just tasted poor executed. This one has potential but ours wasn’t great. My sister also said it was a little spicy, and she likes spice – so be prepared for that as well! 5/10
LA Style
LA Style’s menu stayed the same this year, with the exception of adding a new non-alcoholic beverage! Thank goodness because the two items on the menu were huge hits with our group last year!
I don’t drink tea, so I didn’t try the echo park cooler but it sure looked pretty!
- Carnitas Style Pork Belly with esquites mac salad, featuring tajin jabanero (NEW)
- Baha Style Fish Taco with cabbage slaw, cilantro lime crema, and pico de gallo
The pork belly itself was really good, but the mac salad was mediocre at best. And when you’re paying this much for a dish, you want both items to be equally tasty. The mac salad was too spicy, which washed out any good flavor. Maybe they should serve it with our Mexican street corn pasta salad next year instead! 5/10
Let me start by saying the fish taco is a plant-based dish, but my sister had no idea when she ate it. The fish taco needed a sauce or liquid salsa of some sort but otherwise, the flavors were great. 7/10
Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo (just past Little Mermaid)
Cluck-A-Doodle-Doo always has a good set of wings to try each year and this year was no different. This year’s wings were one of my favorites of the past few years!
- Cheese Pizza Wings – cheese pizza flavored wings with ranch dip
- BBQ Beef Brisket Slider: featuring Fiscalini farmstead smoked cheddar with dill pickles on salt & pepper brioche
- Kiwi-Apple Lemonade – Minute-Maid lemonade, apple juice, and kiwi and granny smith syrups, garnished with a purple orchid
Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo wings are pretty much always a safe bet, and these followed suit. This was one of my favorite dishes of the festival (as the wings always are). The flavor tasted like you would think pizza seasoning tasted like – the chicken was a little drier than we wanted, but we still devoured these. 9/10
The BBQ beef brisket slider was another solid choice if you like BBQ. The portion size was good, the meat was flavorful, and the brioche was a great vehicle for the sandwich. 9/10
The kiwi-apple lemonade was super sweet, too sweet for us to even finish it, and I like a nice sweet lemonade. If you like the flavor of sweet kiwi, you might like this one. We just weren’t really huge fans. 5/10
Garlic Kissed (Near the Golden Zephyr)
Garlic Kissed has been a fan favorite for years but they moved the carbonara garlic mac and cheese to D*Lish this year so if you’re looking for that, it’s there!
- Grilled top sirloin with roasted garlic gruyere smashed potatoes and black garlic chimichurri
The grilled top sirloin was surprisingly so much better than anyone was expecting. My brothers both raved about the smashed potatoes under the sirloin as well as about the sirloin itself. This is definitely one that I think has the chance to be a sleeper hit at the festival this year so definitely one to check out! 8/10
Earth Eats
We don’t eat a lot of plant-based food, so we don’t feel qualified to really review the menu at Earth Eats. I’d love to hear what you think of these bites if you try them!
- Impossible chicken parmesan bites – with tomato and cheese sauces and grated parmesan
- Impossible beef stroganoff – egg noodles tossed in a mushroom cream sauce with impossible beef and sour cream
Other Food at Disneyland Food & Wine Festival
In addition to the actual festival marketplaces, there are typically food and wine festival food offerings at the restaurant Disneyland restaurants throughout the park! I’ve included my reviews of all of these items below!
Festival Specific Churros
Disneyland is known for its churros and is currently offering up some unique combinations that take the churros even more over the top just for the food and wine festival!
- Churro Cart in Hollywood Land – cannoli churro rolled in cinnamon sugar, topped with cannoli cream, chocolate chips, and puff pasty. It’s like my cannoli dip in a churro!
- Churros near Goofy’s Sky School – spiced shortbread churro coated in spiced shortbread sugar with cookie butter drizzle
- Senor Buzz Churros – unforgettable Bing Bong churro with shortbread cookie sugar, strawberry jelly, and sprinkled icing.
- Willie’s Churros – butterscotch banana churro rolled in banana sugar, topped with butterscotch icing, butterscotch chips, and banana chip crumble.
We only tried the butterscotch banana churro because Disneyland was having a churro shortage the day we were there (seriously – none of the carts had churros!). Neither of us really liked the butterscotch one – the churro itself was a little hard, the chips on top were hard, and the flavor just wasn’t great. 3/10
Sonoma Terrace
Sonoma Terrace is offering a charcuterie flatbread this year that includes the chef’s collection of deli and cured meats, mozzarella, caramelized onions, and chopped pepperoncini, served with pepperoncini dip.
Cocina Cucamonga
The only offering here is a strawberry horchata, which sounded a much better than it tasted. It was basically a normal horchata but with huge chucks of strawberries added in, which ended up in it not really tasting like strawberry horchata but instead just being horchata with strawberries all sunk to the bottom. Not great and pretty hard to drink. 4/10
Paradise Garden Grill
Like always, paradise garden grill has a huge menu of festival specific items, enough that they get their own list!
One thing that’s important to note is that they offer entree size portions of many of these AND they offer tasting menu portions that are eligible to use your Sip & Savor pass. Make sure you order the right one or you’ll end up with full-sized entree portions like I did.
- Sisig Burrito – seasoned pork, onions, serrano peppers, garlic fried rice, scrambled eggs, and marinated tomatoes with a side of chicharrones, and a side of vinegar dipping sauce
- Chicken Musakham – roasted spice half chicken and sumak stewed onions on flatbread with a Mediterranean salad and a garlic yogurt dipping sauce
- Tacos Gobernador – chipotle marinated shrimp tacos with pepper jack, served with spanish rice and refried beans
- Loaded Baked Potato – seasoned steak tips and BBQ baked beans topped with cheese sauce, tangy slaw, and green onions
- Cheese quesadilla – kid’s meal option
- Pistachio Cheesecake – New York Style pistachio cheesecake
We only tried the cheesecake because all of the other dishes had onions (and were more filling than we wanted). The cheesecake was a total miss for us. The texture wasn’t great, the flavor wasn’t great, and we really didn’t like much about it. 3/10
Studio Catering Co
This booth right near the Monsters Inc ride is offering one delicious option this year!
Chicken Lollipop – beer brined chicken with poblano mashed potatoes, caramelized fennel, and fried carrots.
The chicken was great. The flavor was good, the outside was crispy, and we really enjoyed it! The side dishes were lackluster – but if you want chicken, this is highly recommended! We are giving is a 7/10 but the chicken itself was a 10/10 if you want just that and skip the sides.
Clarabelle’s Hand-Dipped Ice Cream
The festival offering is a butter cake a la mode, which we were very excited about because I love a good Kentucky butter cake. This was not that. This tasted more like cornbread with a slight butter flavor, and was not great. The ice cream was fine but you can get much better ice cream at Clarabelle’s. I’d skip this one. 4/10
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta
They are offering a BBQ chicken pizza and a no-bake salted pretzel cheesecake. We didn’t try the pizza because it has onions, but we did try the cheesecake. Please do not buy this – it was terrible. I’m giving it a 1/10 but only because I feel like I can’t give something a 0.
Festival Snack Carts
The festival snack cart right near Paradise Garden Grill is offering up carnitas topped pretzel bites. In the past, we’ve not been fans of Disneyland pretzel bites, so we skipped these. I can’t imagine that adding carnitas and cheese sauce on top of pretzel bites would’ve made them any better.
Cappuccino Cart
The cappuccino cart at the entrance to Pixar Pier is offering a chocolate espresso loaf that’s filled with chocolate mousse and topped with dark chocolate ganache PLUS a honeydew milk tea.
Smokejumper’s Grill
They’re offering pastrami fries during the festival. It’s crinkle-cut fries topped with cheese sauce, pastrami, and smokejumper grill’s sauce and pickles. It sounds like a lot to me personally – I would rather just have some fries. We didn’t try it though so if you do and it’s amazing, please let me know!
Lamplight Lounge
We didn’t get a chance to try Lamplight Lounge. They’re offering a turf and a little bit of surf meal and strawberry lychee shortcake donuts. You need a reservation to get these but both sound intriguing!
Downtown Disney
There are a handful of food items that are festival specific being offered in Downtown Disney’s dining district as well. I didn’t get a chance to try these those unfortunately, but here’s what you can look for! These often have different offering dates than the food and wine festival, so I recommended checking menus when you get there!
- Ballast Point Brewing Co – calabrian chili glazed salmon or a blood orange arugula salad
- Naples Ristorante e Bar – vesuvio pizza and a wine flight
- Ralph’s Brennen’s Jazz Kitchen – grilled Mexican sea bass
- Splitsville Luxury Lanes – Filet sliders
- Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes – BT fish and chips sandwich
- Salt and Straw – pink rose and watermelon sorbet
Disneyland Food Festival Top 10
I did this the last time I covered the festival so that if you don’t have time to read everything, you can at least get a good snapshot of I should try these things for sure when I go! These are our personal top 10 favorites of the festival!
These are not in any particular order, just a list of our top 10 food items from the festival!
- Chile Relleno Empanada from Peppers Cali-ente
- Grilled top sirloin from Garlic Kissed
- Snickers Mickey Macaron from Nuts About Cheese
- BBQ Brisket Slider from Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo
- S’mores Tart from California Crew Brews
- Cheese Pizza Wings from Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo
- Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese from D*Lish
- Raspberry Almond Cake from Uncork California
- Chicken Lollipop (but not the the sides) from Studio Cart Catering
- BBQ Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese from Nuts About Cheese
