One of the most fun Easter traditions is a good old-fashioned indoor Easter egg hunt or maybe one of these non-traditional Easter egg hunts. Either way, you have to fill all of those eggs with Easter egg fillers!
Most of the time people just fill them with cheap little toys or Easter candy. But why not switch things up this year and fill the eggs with things that with less treats and fill them with other things instead!
I’ve broken this post up into different sections so there are Easter egg fillers for adults, teens, tweens, kids, and even toddlers. But know that a lot of the things in each section would work for the other age groups as well – feel free to mix and match for whatever you think your group will enjoy!
Recommended Eggs
There are a number of prizes on these lists that will only fit into eggs larger than the regular size of plastic eggs. I recommend getting a pack of larger Easter eggs like these ones to fit things like nail polish, Hot Wheels cars, and other larger items on these lists! Just have people return their eggs after the Easter egg hunt so you can reuse them again!
Easter Egg Fillers For Teens
Kids growing up doesn’t mean you have to stop hiding Easter eggs. In fact, this Easter egg hunt idea for teens is one of my most popular Easter posts because teens love finding Easter eggs, especially if they’re filled with any of these great Easter fillers for teens!
- Nail polish
- Gum
- Small makeup items
- Car air fresheners – nothing worse than a stinky car.
- Hair clips
- Hydration packets
- Charging cords – these extra-long cords are great.
- Black face paint sticks – great for football games.
- Mini hair spray bottles or other travel size beauty items
- Lanyard
- Gift cards – I recommend paper ones that you can fold up
- Cell phone stand
- Tokens for local activities like our batting cage and mini golf courses do tokens
- Cash
- Gas cash
Easter Egg Fillers for Tweens
Tweens are right at that perfect age where they think they are so old but still enjoy being a kid.
With that in mind, I put a list together of some of the best tween egg fillers that don’t involve candy. I tried to include some options for tween boys and tween girls but since I’m a boy mom, sorry if this list may be a bit biased. Let me know what else you would add for tween girls!
- Fidget Snake (or other fidgets)
- Croc charms – you can buy these in bulk here or find specific ones your kid will enjoy.
- Lego mini figures
- Water bottle stickers
- Magnetic socks
- Bracelets
- V-Bucks (or other video game currency)
- Cash (you’ll see this one on every list because well everyone loves money!)
- Mini lego kits
- Mini putty – a fun alternative to slime.
- Fidgets
- Keychains
- Makeup or mini beauty supplies
- Face masks, spa stuff, or bath bombs
- Puzzle pieces that put together represent a larger prize
Tip!
Have a large bag or cardboard box for people to put their eggs into after they’ve opened them. No one really wants the eggs themselves but often they’ll take them home on accident (or without thinking about it) if you don’t have somewhere designated to put them. By having people turn them back in, you can reuse the same eggs year after year!
Easter Egg Fillers For Adults
Easter egg hunts are not limited to the kids! Some of my favorite Easter egg hunts are designed specifically with adults in mind.
While you can never go wrong with filling eggs for any age with a bit of candy, it’s always nice to have some other options. Below is a list of things that adults would actually enjoy getting in an Easter egg.
These would also make great prizes to go in the eggs for any of these egg toss game ideas!
