I’m the creator of Play Party Plan. I live in the Kansas City area with my two adventure loving boys and an amazing husband who is my business partner, resident foodie, and recipe expert.

Creator of Fun
I’ve been a room mom in charge of classroom parties for years, a camp director of activities for young women in three different metro areas, and planned hundreds of events and activities for my church organizations over the past twenty years.
I have created over 500 different party games for Play Party Plan in the past ten years including this dice gift exchange game that has had over two million views on my site and had almost 300,000 shares on Facebook. I had people sending me pictures all Christmas season long as they played the game with their friends, families, and colleagues!
Foodie
When I’m not creating games to play at parties, I’m testing and retesting recipes to come up with the best food to serve alongside those games! It’s not a party without food right?
My husband does the cooking, and I do the baking! Between the two of us and our love of food, we are constantly testing out new recipes to share with our family, friends, and Play Party Plan readers.
If it’s not something we’d feed to our family and friends, you won’t find it on our site! Some of our recipes have been so popular that they caught the eye of the Southern Living magazine team, and I was invited to the Southern Living Test Kitchen to learn about how they test recipes to perfect them before magazines hit the shelves!
Family Traveler
In my downtime from work, I’m traveling the world with my family. We’ve been to over 20 different countries, always looking for the most unique and fun things to do wherever we are from canyoning in Switzerland to most recently climbing through glaciers in Alaska!
We’ve traveled so much that Southwest Airlines even named me their featured A-list traveler of April 2019 where I had the chance to tour their headquarters, do a fun photoshoot, and even be in their airline magazine!

The Why
Play Party Plan Origins
I created Play Party Plan on a whim in 2013 after my first son was born because I couldn’t find fun party ideas for a party I was hosting. I thought other people might be having the same problems, so I started sharing the ideas I was creating to help others in my same situation.
Just a few years later that side project of mine turned into a business that now reaches a community of over a million visitors a month.
And in the ten years since I created this community, over 125 million people have visited our site to find a game, a recipe, or a helpful travel trip!
I truly believe that all the best things in life are related to one of three things – food, family, or fun.
