One of the things on our fall bucket list this year was doing some fun fall crafts together as a family. With a couple of three year olds participating, I wanted to find fall art ideas that were easy enough that preschoolers could do them but that also worked for older kids!
During my search, I came up with tons of simple ideas that worked for our group! And since I already found them, I thought I’d put together a huge list of fall craft ideas to do during the best time of the year – the fall season!
So whether you’re looking for fun projects to do with your preschool class, fall craft ideas to do with your own kids, or just fun fantastic fun to do during the most magical time of year, you’ll find them all here!
You could even do a full day of your favorite fall activities – these craft projects made a great addition to these fall games and some fall treats like this caramel apple bark or these apple pie cups!
One thing to note is that I did not include anything Thanksgiving in this collection – Thanksgiving art activities gets its very own post coming soon!
Easy Fall Crafts with Leaves
I love watching the leaves change color and fall off the trees, it’s one of my favorite things about the season. That’s why I love these leaf-inspired crafts, they’re a fun way to bring the natural beauty inside and have fun doing it. Plus, kids love leaf crafts and using the iconic fall color palette inspired by leaves!
Leaf Suncatchers
These realistic leaves are made with an eyedropper and a paper plate making it a great activity for kids of all ages! Not only will they keep your kids entertained but you’ll love using them to decorate your house for the season.
Potatoes are inexpensive and easy to use, plus they put a fun twist on a classic fall activity. Prep the potato and let your kids get creative with colors with this great fall craft.

Okay so this one is technically not an art project, but it is creative, and it is fall so I’ve included it here! Making Oreo balls that look like little apples is one of my personal favorite autumn crafts. And kids will love them!
This caramel apple craft looks almost good enough to eat! Kids will love using the puffy paint and adding sprinkles to the top. String them together and create a cute treat banner.
This simple but cute DIY apple is a great craft for kids! Fill it with whatever you chose and give it as a cute fall gift or keep them around the house for a cute snack container.
