2024 Oscars Bingo
Can you believe it’s already time to get parties prepped for this year’s big night? I’ve actually seen quite a few of the movies on this year’s Oscars nominee list and it was a great year for movies!
Even if you haven’t seen the movies on the bingo cards that doesn’t mean you can’t play. That’s the best part about this Oscars bingo game!
All you need is the award show and the free printable Oscar bingo card template that I’m sharing with you in this post!
I love watching the Oscars either on my own, with my family, or with girlfriends who come over! We play bingo, vote for our favorite winners (get printable 2024 Oscar ballots here) and talk about some of these fun Oscar trivia questions!
This year we’re doing some of these Barbie party ideas but most often I just some of these Oscar party ideas! They’re perfect for this year’s big night and the perfect addition to an Oscar party!
I created these Oscar bingo cards specifically for this year’s big event with the nominees from all of the categories that will be announced in the main Academy Awards. This does not include all of the smaller categories that will be handed out and announced at different times.
How to Play Oscar Bingo
Generally the game works like any other bingo game – you are trying to get five in a row horizontal, vertical, or diagonally first to get a bingo. Everyone gets one card plus some markers to cover things up as they go!
The first person to get a bingo on their card wins! You can either play just the first player to bingo wins or keep going for however many bingos you want.
Where this game differs slightly from other games is that instead of pulling names or numbers out of a hat at random to determine a winner like you do with say this Christmas bingo game, you use the Oscars award show to determine what to cover!
Three Options for Covering Spaces
There are three different ways you can play this printable Oscar bingo game for some great Oscar bingo fun! There’s no wrong way to play, but here are three options – just make sure all of the players know how the game works!
Decide which way you want to play and tell your guests before they choose their cards for the game!
1 – See or Hear
The first way to play is to cover up spaces when the celebrity or movie is mentioned/shown on camera.
This is the easiest version and will get spaces covered the fastest because movies are mentioned and shown way more often than people actually win or talk about the nominations.
2 – Award Only
Another option is to have people only cover up the space when a celebrity or movie is actually mentioned as part of an awards nomination – e.g., the nominees for Best Picture are XYZ.
3 – Winner Winner
Finally, the most challenging option is to have people only cover up the spaces when that celebrity or movie actually wins an Oscar.
If you’re doing this version of the game, make sure people know ahead of time so they can choose their card based on who they think is going to win (it usually helps if you watched the Golden Globes!). It definitely makes things trickier and more fun!
One caveat to version #3 – it’s possible that no one will bingo depending on who wins. If that’s the case, figure out how you’re going to determine a winner or just put all the cards in a bowl and pull out a random winner at the end of the night.
Note!
The nominees on the cards are totally randomized and while I made sure that every card had the same number of best picture nominees, the rest of the spaces are filled with nominees from all sorts of different categories. It’s possible any given card may not have a nominee for any given category (outside of best picture).
Oscars Bingo Prize Ideas
Don’t forget to get Oscar themed prizes for your winners! These are some of the things that people have loved most in the past when we’ve played. You could even do a combination of say a gold statue with a gift card!

Game FAQs
Will you be creating new cards for this year?
I always create an updated version of the cards for each year’s show. These cards are currently updated for the 2024 Oscars. If you want to be sent the new cards each year, purchase this item in my shop and you’ll receive an email with updated cards each year.
Can you cover more than one square at a time?
Yes, if multiple nominees are called out or shown during one particular category, you can mark them all off on your card. Unlike Super Bowl commercial bingo where there is only one item per commercial, your card may have multiples from a particular category.
Do you have larger cards?
I have a set of 20 larger (1 to a page) cards that can be purchased in my shop here. Make sure the dropdown is set to 1 to a page.
