Non Alcoholic Party Punch
I’m a sucker for a good non-alcoholic drink whether it’s a virgin strawberry mojito or a fruity Thanksgiving punch.
I just love the combination of fruit, fizz, and fun flavors all together. And I really appreciate it when other people serve up speciality non-alcoholic drinks so that I’m not stuck with just cranberry and orange juice again.
That’s why I’ve been working on a series of party punch recipes starting with this one. It’s a slightly sweeter version of my ultra popular New Year’s Eve punch and it’s super simple to make!
It’s fruity, sweet, fizzy, and refreshing which makes it a great year-round drink. This means whether you’re hosting a garden party or pool party outside or a bridal shower inside, this is a great fit!
And having a fun drink that adults and kids will enjoy is always a good choice!
Why you’ll love This party punch
- Just three ingredients – Made with just three ingredients and ice, this party punch is quick to make and serves a crowd of up to 16 people.
- Versatile – Just think, this simple party punch can be served at a Valentine’s Day party, a bridal shower, or even a kids birthday party!
- Kid-friendly – This delightfully refreshing punch is suitable for guests of all ages to enjoy. Both kids and adults can’t get enough!
Ingredients in this Party punch recipe
Ingredient Notes
- Fresca – you’ll need a 2-liter bottle because it makes up the majority of the drink. It’s what provides the fizz and the citrusy flavor. I’ve tried it with Sprite as well, but it’s just not the same.
- White grape juice concentrate – white grape juice from concentrate adds sweetness without the color. I know most people don’t use concentrate anymore, but this really adds the perfect addition to the drink! Regular white grape juice just isn’t the same.
- Grenadine syrup – this is what makes this punch different than the NYE punch I mentioned earlier. I typically start with two tablespoons of the grenadine and then if that’s not enough for you, you can add more to taste.
- Sonic Ice – for those that are unfamiliar, Sonic sells its own brand of ice and it’s just the best! They’re not traditional ice cubes, but it’s almost like shaved, mini, nugget-sized ice, perfect for chewing. It might remind you of the ice they used to give to pregnant women in the hospitals. Kind of fitting for baby showers, don’t you think? If you don’t have a Sonic near you, you can find nugget ice from somewhere else. Regular ice cubes just aren’t the same.
How to make party punch
One of the keys to a good party punch recipe is making sure that it’s easy to make and easy to make for a large crowd. It is a punch for a party after all!
This recipe is both of those things – it’s so simple to make and so simple to make over and over again as your guests drink it all up. It’s an easy party punch that won’t break the bank while still keeping your guests refreshed and happy!
- Combine Fresca and the grape juice concentrate in a large pitcher or punch bowl.
- Add grenadine and stir until completely mixed in.
- Add enough sonic ice on top of the punch to fill the pitcher or punch bowl. Don’t worry, it shouldn’t melt quickly since your punch base was already a frozen concentrate that’s cold!
Serve immediately! I like to serve this with a fun straw and some fresh fruit on top but it’s also delicious all by itself!
Tips & tricks
Keep everything refrigerated. Punch is always best when it’s served cold, so I always recommend keeping your ingredients in the fridge before they get added to the punch. This will also keep the ice from melting quickly and diluting the punch.
Add garnish. You can always add some colored sanding sugar to the rims of each of the glasses for a little something extra. Plus, fresh fruit is always a hit!
Double the recipe. Or triple, or quadruple. As long as you have enough ingredients and plenty of pitchers, you can make as much of this party punch as you need! Or fill up one punch bowl and then when that one is almost gone, just add in the ingredients for the second batch. It just takes seconds!
Recipe FAQs
Can I make this party punch punch ahead of time?
I wouldn’t recommend it. You can’t add the Fresca or it’ll go flat. You can’t add the ice or it’ll melt. All that is left is the grenadine and white grape juice. So, because this delicious drink is so quick and easy to make and best served right away, I’d say make it just before serving.
How to store leftovers?
You don’t want to let any of that tasty party punch go to waste! Even though it’ll be flat, you can store it in the fridge for up to three days. Enjoy the taste without the fizz. Or for fun, you can strain out the ice and pour the party punch into popsicle molds for a tasty frozen treat.
Can I use white grape juice instead of white grape juice concentrate?
The white grape juice concentrate is a condensed juice that’s had the water extracted from it, leaving behind pure fruit juice. Due to its concentrated fruit, it is sweeter than regular juice with water in it. It’s a different flavor than just basic fruit juice, so I highly recommend making this with the concentrate!
