A full set of free printable pumpkin worksheets that are perfect for the fall or Halloween season! Print them out and let preschoolers or elementary aged kids get to work on tracing, coloring, cutting and puzzling through this collection of pumpkin activity pages!
My boys are really into activity books, coloring pages, and word searches.
Me? I’m into anything that will keep them distracted for a while without them destroying my house.
I put together this pack of worksheets all with a pumpkin theme to use for my kiddo’s preschool class, but they’re good for using with kids at home, fall parties, or really any time you just want fun activities during the fall season!
Combine these pumpkin printables with this pumpkin patch craft and these fall playdough mats for a fun way to celebrate the fall season!
Six different free pumpkin activity printables
I created a full set of worksheets so that you could pick and choose which ones work best for whoever you’re using these for.
If you’re looking for activities for kindergarten students, you may want to try the pumpkin maze and connect the dots. And if you’re using these with preschoolers, maybe the cut and rearrange pumpkin to work on scissor skills and the pumpkin puzzle! They’re perfect for younger children!
There are enough printable pages to choose from that there should be a work sheet that works for everyone!
Here’s what comes included in the pumpkin worksheets:
Trace the Pumpkin – this one is great for working on hand-eye coordination and can be used for preschoolers all the way up to probably first grade students!
Connect the dots – this pumpkin dot dot sheets is a good beginner dot to dot challenge and sticking with the pumpkin theme of course!
Sometimes younger kids can have a hard time drawing straight lines from one number to the next so this one might be best for the older set! And finding the correct number can be a little challenging if they don’t know larger numbers yet! I’d stick with the older kids for this one!
Design your pumpkin – this one is great for letting kids use their imagination. It’s the perfect time to pull out the markers and crayons and let kids make a fun pumpkin of their choosing!
Pumpkin maze – this is one of my boys’ favorite printable worksheets in the set because they love mazes! This one’s great for 1st grade and younger!
Cut the Pumpkin – this and the puzzle pumpkin are the two pages in this worksheet set that I recommend doing in pairs! Have one person cut out the pumpkin, give the mixed up pieces to a partner, and have the partner put together the pumpkin! Then reverse the roles for the pumpkin puzzle!
Pumpkin puzzle – this is a very simple puzzle on purpose! Have the same partner pair switch roles so one person is cutting out the puzzle and the other person is completing it until they have a finished product! Using partners makes this a little more fun because kids have to figure out what the puzzle is supposed to look like instead of just putting back together what they just cut out!
Note!
If you really want to work on fine motor skills, let kids do as many of these free pumpkin worksheets as possible! Cutting with scissors, tracing a pumpkin, and coloring these practice pages are all a great way to work on those skills they’re learning!
Helpful Tips
Laminating the pumpkin worksheets is a great way to use these over and over again at home with your own kids. If you’re doing this at school with students, it’s probably easiest to just go with regular paper but these little pumpkins would be perfect for a fall activity bucket at home!
Let kids choose which of the free pumpkin worksheets they’d like to do! You can print out copies of all of the pumpkin activities then just let kids choose which ones they want to do, as long as they do at least one of the printable activities! This works best for older compared to younger children!
Set these up at a station for kids to work on while kids at another station do different activities like some of these fall games or look for items on this fall scavenger hunt. It’d be a great way to do a day celebrating the season of fall with some fun learning throughout the day!
