Each week I teach a group of 12-13 year old young women from my church’s Come Follow Me program. I love teaching and love creating handouts for the girls to take home to remember the things we talked about. This scripture study bookmark is great for teaching and reminding youth how to study scriptures.

This week I taught my young women the importance of scripture study. We started it off by recapping last week’s lesson on how to make prayers more meaningful then jumped right in.
I think most of the most difficult things about scripture study is how overwhelming it can be when you get started, so I made the girls these double-sided scripture study bookmarks to give them tips for better scripture study and ideas of things to study if they don’t want to read in chronological order. To be honest, I made myself one too because I think these are good reminders for all of us, regardless of if we read our scriptures regularly or not.
There are a couple of options for making the bookmarks. The first is to just print out each of the pages on separate pieces of paper, glue them to pretty scrapbook or colored cardstock paper, and then glue the two pieces back to back.
OR
If you don’t care about the colored backgrounds, you can also just print the two pages double-sided on white cardstock. I recommend using cardstock or laminating the bookmarks once they’re cut to keep them from being torn or trashed during study.

If you’re a teacher, you might want to check out all of my other Come Follow Me handouts. I’m kind of a sucker for treats and cute things, so I have a lot of fun coming up with a creative idea for each lesson plan. And I love girls camp and coming up with all sorts of fun young women handouts and activity ideas!
