Star Wars Connect the Dots
I’ve said it before but we are a Star Wars family. We watch the TV shows and movies together. We dress up in Star Wars costumes for Halloween. And we really just love it.
So this year I thought it’d be fun to do some cute May the Fourth be with you crafts (like these Star Wars perler beads) and fun Star Wars activities!
I have some fun Star Wars party games planned but in the downtime I thought it’d be fun to have some activity pages for the boys to work on. I already have Star Wars coloring pages (and Star Wars color by number pages) and thought these Star Wars dot to dot pages would be the perfect addition to their activity pages!
Either way, I’m sure they’ll love it! And I hope you have as much fun on Star Wars Day as we do with these Star Wars connect the dots pages!
Why you’ll love These Dot to Dots
- Works on math skills – this is a great way for younger kids to practice recognizing their numbers while doing something they enjoy.
- Multipurpose – once kids are done connecting the dots, it turns into a fun coloring sheet.
- Free printable – these printable dot to dots are easy way to enjoy Star Wars Day without spending any money.
Six Different Design Options
There are six different dot to dot designs that are included in the downloadable file at the bottom of the page. Each design features a different Star Wars character so the kids can do one or all six if they want. Pair it with these silly Star Wars would you rather questions for a whole day of galactic activities.
These are the images that are included in the download:
- Grugu – better known as Baby Yoda.
- Storm Trooper mask
- Darth Vader helmet
- Tie fighter
- BB8
- C3PO
How to Prep
There is only one step to prepping these connect the dots pages and that is printing them out. Make sure to print at least one per person, though they may want to do more than one design so having extras is a good idea.
Once all the images are printed, all that is left is to provide the materials to connect the dots. Having a black pen or marker is great for connecting the dots. Since these can easily double as coloring pages as well, don’t forget the colored markers, crayons, or coloring pencils too!
Printing recommendations!
- Print on white paper for best results or plan on using these as a coloring page as well.
- Use card stock for a sturdier project.
- For large batches, send it to your local print shop.
How to Do a Dot to Do
With the dot to dot sheets printed and coloring materials ready, it’s time to get started. While each design is different, they are all done the same way.
The instructions are right in the name, regardless if you call them dot to dot or connect the dot pages. Starting at the dot labeled number one, draw a line connecting it to the dot labeled number two. Continue the line to dot three, four, five, and so on. Continue in numerical order until the outline is complete and you reach the final number.
Consider using a pencil for younger kids so they can make mistakes they can erase without consequences.
Once the outline is filled in, it’s time to color the image. That’s it! It’s a super simple activity that kids enjoy doing that’s also great for practicing numbers!
Here are some of my favorite ways to use these dot to dot sheets:
- Math lesson for younger children – this would be great as a warmup or station for kindergardeners.
- Star Wars Day activity – it’s an easy way to celebrate May the Fourth without having to break the bank or spend hours prepping.
- Fun activity option – this is great to have on hand for those who finish their work early and need something educational but fun to do or as a good addition to summer boredom busters!
- Waiting rooms – perfect for a kid doctor or dentist to have on hand for kids to do while they wait for their appointment
- Star Wars movie night – I mean they’re Star Wars connect the dot sheets so these would be a perfect filler activity for a movie night or birthday party!
