Coloring Pages for Teacher Appreciation
With teacher appreciation week just around the corner, I thought it’d be fun to share some ideas for kids to show their teachers appreciation that don’t just consist of buying a Starbucks gift card.
Don’t get me wrong – I pretty much get my sons’ teachers gift cards for their teacher appreciation gifts every year. I know that’s what teachers actually like getting.
That being said, I also like the idea of having something handmade, sentimental, or thoughtful included with the more practical gifts.
And that’s why I’m sharing these teacher appreciation coloring pages – they’re the perfect way to show a little thought into your gifts!
Or just as a fun activity to do with the kids during teacher appreciation week!
Why you’ll love These coloring pages
- Fun designs – detailed enough for older and younger kids alike to enjoy the designs.
- Free printable – an easy activity for kids to do that is free and adds a personal element to any gift.
- Multiple design options – there are eight different designs to choose from!
How to Prep these teacher coloring pages
There’s really no prep needed to use these teacher appreciation coloring pages! Simply download the free file at the bottom of this post using the link below, print, then color!
The hardest part is choosing which design to use. If you are only wanting to print a couple, pick your design and simply print that one out instead of all of them. For classrooms or large group settings, I would print multiples of each design and let kids pick after.
Printing Recommendations
- This is designed to be printed on white paper so you can easily see the coloring materials you use. However, it can be printed on any color.
- For a sturdier paper consider using a white card stock, especially if you want to use these as cards for teachers.
- For a professional look or if printing a lot of copies you can send it to your local print shop.
You can change the size of the coloring sheet depending on how you plan to use it.
One creative way to use the printable is to turn it into a card. I recommend printing it on the top quarter of a sheet of paper then folding it into a card. Another great way to make a card is to print two on one side of a sheet of paper, cut the paper in half horizontally where the two designs meet, and fold each paper in half.
These are also great as a full sheet and added into a basket or a card for an easy personalized touch from the student.
Working With Young Kids!
If you want to use these with younger kids who still struggle to color inside the lines, consider filling in the letters with a dark color before letting them color the outside as they want.

As I mentioned above this free download comes with eight different fun doodle designs. Here’s a brief description of what each version looks like.

How to Use the coloring pages
Once you’ve decided on your design and how you are wanting to use your printable, it’s time for the fun part, coloring.
Coloring these can be done with any utensil such as markers, crayons, or colored pencils. I recommend having a variety of colors available to make the most of the designs. And unlike my color by number pages, you get to choose whatever color you want on these!
Painting tip!
You can also use paint for these, just be sure to print on a card stock so it doesn’t tear through the paper. Painting is definitely not my first choice for these coloring pages but it is doable if you really want!
Once you’ve got it all colored the way you want, add it to your teacher’s gift with a thank you gift tag and you are ready to go! Or you can have your kids write a nice note or sign their name on the back first!
