As my boys get older, they’re getting more into making things, like this ghost craft we did for Halloween that my younger son just loved helping with.
I’ve found that simple crafts are best because neither of them really have a long attention span when it comes to complicated crafts.
And since we are at home for Thanksgiving this year AND the boys are out of school, I thought I’d come up with some Thanksgiving crafts for kids that we can do during that time. Crafts are the perfect Thanksgiving activities for any holiday festivities!
And of course, I’m sharing all of these easy turkey crafts with you!
I searched Google, Facebook, Pinterest, and even TikTok (do you follow me there – if not, you should @playpartyplan) to find the best Thanksgiving crafts out there! These are simple, cute, and ones that kids will actually enjoy making.
Edible Turkey Crafts
Let’s start it off where Thanksgiving really shines – the food! All of these crafts are edible turkey crafts, so not only cute but also delicious! Making these with kids is a fun way to include a craft and make snacks for Thanksgiving dinner!
Candy Turkeys
No one said crafts can’t be edible right? These darling chocolate turkeys are simple to make and taste great too! Enjoy with the kids once you’re done making these cute little turkeys.
Grab a pack of those dip in cheese style crackers, add some leaves for feathers, and of course – googly eyes! These darling snacks are perfect for a Thanksgiving feast or take home snack! And they’re fun for younger kids to help make since the turkey’s body is store-bought!
These may be the sweetest turkeys in this entire post! Apple bodies, marshmallow faces, and gumdrop feathers make these not only sweet but super fun to make! Little kids will LOVE making these!

These cute paper bag turkeys have it all – color, feathers, handprints, and cute eyes! Plus, you can use them as puppets because who doesn’t want a turkey puppet!?!
Want to save your kids’ handprints? Try this simple handprint turkey craft that uses three different colors plus some paint for a fun Thanksgiving keepsake! You could even do it year after year to see how your turkey (and kids) grows! I love looking back at little hands when they get bigger!
Like the idea of a handprint turkey but don’t want to deal with all that paint and paint cleanup? This one just traces a hand, colors it in, and adds it to a cup for a different option!
